How are you going to move from dreaming about your play opening Off broadway to actually getting an offer from a theatre and a contract waiting for your signature.  

You can't get to the Oscars or Broadway on hopes, wishes and dreams alone.  You need a product and that product is a kickass well-written story.

As SimonSays Entertainment's Director of Development, I spend my time looking for scripts that are ready for production.  But instead, I spend the lion's share of my time fielding questions about why someone can't get a production-ready script done, so instead they send me drafts masquerading as production-ready scripts.


That's bullhooey and the biggest way filmmakers and writers get in their own way.
